Dr. Sebastian Orbe is a Managing Director in the Private Equity Group based in Frankfurt covering the German speaking region in Europe across sectors. He joined Blackstone in 2022 and currently serves on the supervisory board of Leica Camera AG. Before joining Blackstone, Dr. Orbe worked in private equity at Permira, at Deutsche Bank in the German M&A Team and as research fellow at the Corporate Finance seminar of the University of Cologne. Dr. Orbe holds a Master degree (Dipl. Kaufm.) in business administration as well as a PhD in Finance, summa cum laude, from the University of Cologne and is a CFA Charterholder.
